Changes To Brooke County Transportation Bus Schedules

BUS ROUTES AS OF 3-13-2023
Because the safety of our children is our number one priority, we have had to make some difficult decisions regarding the roads we travel in Brooke County. After multiple road checks and discussions with the WV Department of Highways, I have determined that the following roads are not safe for school bus travel; therefore, our buses will no longer travel these roads and accommodations will have to be made to get children to the closest bus stop. While this may be an inconvenience for some, please keep in mind that the safety of children was the motivating factor for these changes.

Windy Hill Road
Windy Hill Road – we will no longer travel Windy Hill. The bus stop will be at the cross roads on the 49 Hill side (Bus 86) or at the old church on the Windsor Heights side (Bus 96).
Green’s Run
Green’s Run – we will no longer travel Green’s Run. The bus stop will be at the intersection of Green’s Run and Bethany Pike/Rt 67 at the bottom and the intersection of Green’s Run and McCord’s Hill Road at the top whichever is more convenient. Both stops will be Bus 79.
Castleman’s Run
Castleman’s Run – the bus stop will be at the intersection of Castleman’s Run and Bethany Pike/Rt 67. We will not travel out the road. (Bus 92)
Peace Point
Peace Point – the bus stop will be at the intersection of Peace Point and Bethany Pike/Rt 67. We will not travel up the road. (Bus 92)
Rabbit Hill
Rabbit Hill – we will no longer travel the west side (Wellsburg side) of Rabbit Hill. We will stop at Miller Ave. Any students who live from Miller Ave to Pleasant Ave will either catch the bus at Miller Ave (Bus 65) or 27th and Pleasant Ave (Bus 89) whichever is more convenient.
Tent Church Road
Tent Church Road – we will no longer go up Tent Church from Cross Creek Road. The bus stop will be at the Cross Creek intersection as we do in inclement weather (Bus 61). The bus will travel Tent Church from Eldersville Road as far as Abbey Lane. (Bus 98)
Hall’s Road
Hall’s Road – we will no longer travel the back side of Hall’s Road. We will go as far as the Dillon turnaround – Gala Lane (Bus 98). Any students who live between the turnaround and bottom of Halls Road will either catch the bus at Dillon turnaround (Bus 98) or at the intersection of Hall’s and Harmon Creek Rd (Bus 68) whichever is more convenient.
Boyd Road
Boyd Road – we will no longer travel the backside of Boyd’s Road. We will come from Eldersville Road as far as Cherry Lane. We will turn around here and go back to Eldersville Road. (Bus75)
